The location

Vistamare is a special place, part bar, part restaurant, part gelateria, part pizzeria. It’s informal, because we know that on vacation you want to relax above all else, but it’s definitely unique, also because it’s located in a fantastic location, on the Grado pier, with a wonderful view that spans the entire Gulf of Trieste. The sound of the sea, the gentle breeze on summer evenings and the lights of the coast on the horizon are, at any time and in any season of the year, the perfect backdrop, whether for your breakfast or your aperitif, whether it’s for ice cream or dinner with friends. Without pretensions, without obligations, without hurry: every moment spent at Vistamare is a moment you dedicate to yourself and share with those you like the most.

LOCATION WITH A SEA VIEW

The sea is just two meters away from you: you can feel its scent, power, and vitality at all times. On days of the scirocco wind, you can admire the spectacle from our terrace and let the crashing of the waves on the dam create columns of water up to ten meters high and elicit shouts of joy from the children… On clear days, instead, you can let the breeze caress you and the sun warm you, abandoning yourself to a stress-free tranquility.

THE BEST INGREDIENTS

Using the best ingredients is essential to create a great dish, just like using high-quality fabric is necessary to make a good dress. Cutting corners on the raw materials goes against our philosophy, and we hope it goes against yours too. If you demand to eat only the finest food, only selected products, then Vistamare is the right restaurant for you. Trust our staff: they will recommend the catch of the day and the best ingredients, which will become simple dishes bursting with real flavors!

THE BOUTIQUE OF TASTE

To bring the taste of our dishes home with you, you can purchase many of the ingredients we regularly use in both the adjacent Vistamare Food Shop and Spaghetti d’Italia shop at Via Marina n.18, always in Grado. Come and discover them: you will find many exceptional products that we have specifically selected for you.

Our menu changes frequently to offer you the best of Italian cuisine, taking into account seasonality.

We do not have additional costs for table setting and/or service.

We do not leave room for innovative or creative dishes, nor for local traditional dishes: our restaurant caters to an Italian and international clientele that loves Italian cuisine, that wants traditional Italian dishes, even the simplest ones, but made well, with excellent products. Like eggplant parmesan or lasagna, for example, that we always make with at least seven layers of pasta, with a ragù made with ground meat only once, 50% of Romagna’s black pig pork and 50% of white Modenese veal. Then tomato concentrate, béchamel… and some little secret.

When you eat our lasagna, you immediately understand that we use top-quality pasta, which has nothing to do with industrial products. In addition to fish, always fresh and varying according to the catch, we have spectacular meat and vegetables: come and try them. We do not like ideologies: we like to taste, judge, choose… so, sorry, no raw fish, no sushi, no marinades: only absolutely traditional dishes.
